Review:
If you have not read the first three books there will be a couple of spoliers for them so beware.

I really like this series. They are fun, quick reads that give me the little bit of political drama I might be craving. The fourth book is no different.

I seem to connect to a different girl in each book. In this one it was Evan. While I liked the other storylines Evan's storyline was the saddest for me. I felt the most for her situation. Especailly how her parents were against her going out with Hunter all the time. And the other thing...

That being said I liked the vice-presidential race. It was interesting and caused a lot of drama. But I wished there had been more Brinley and Ellie converstaions. I really like thier friendship so I wish there was more of it in this book. But it did make sense for the book.

I personally was happy for the person who won the VP nomination. While I would have been happy regardless, I was excited when the winner was announced. Honestly I was mostly happy that they announced it. I was afraid they were going to make me wait for the next book. But they were nice and they didn't.

Overall a good addition to the series. I can't wait to find out how the winner's daughter's life changes not that she is Second Daughter. But the third book is still my favorite so far.

Georgetown Academy Book 3 Review

Title: Georgetown Academy: Book 3
Author: Jessica Koosed Etting,  Alyssa Embree Schwartz
Publisher: Coliloquy, LLC

Release Date: January 2013
Received: For review

Summary:  The frosty chill that’s settled over Georgetown Academy isn’t just from the winter weather—growing up in the D.C. fishbowl isn’t for everyone, but a break from the Beltway might just restore some sanity.

Ellie Walker’s suffered through a lifetime of scandal in a few short weeks, and now must watch her true love fall for someone else. But will a dose of fresh New England air—and an irresistible newcomer who plays by his own rules—provide the change of pace she so desperately needs?

Riding high after her smashing D.C. debut, Taryn Reyes hatches a plan to cement her relationship with Gabe. But she may get more than she bargained for when she enlists Brooks’ help.

Evan Harnett would do anything to protect her friends. But one moment of weakness, and now she’s on the outs with both Hunter and Ellie. Hot on the trail of a new story, she’s heartbroken to find it leads straight back to Ellie. Can she save her friend and their friendship?

Brinley Madison’s Clinton-esque downfall was bad enough, but between family obligations, protecting her friends, and managing local gossip, will she be able to regain her social standing without losing her peace of mind?

Privileged kids in a posh hotel with nothing to do but scheme and ski—and they thought D.C. was a pressure cooker? One thing’s for sure: what happens in Vermont definitely won’t stay in Vermont.

Review:  This was my favorite Georgetown Academy book! It had the exact same style as the first tow with the story and then an interactive part where you follow one girl's story. But the story for this installment was really good!

By the third book the characters have really come to life and I feel like they blossomed in this third book. They were standing up for themselves and making slightly better choices not only for them but about their friends. I also liked the introduction of some new characters into the fray because it added to the story.

The new setting was also a nice change of pace. Yes there was still all that DC politics drama but in a much prettier setting.

I think all of the characters (with the exception of one new one) grew a lot in this book.  Especially Brinley, I know it is lame to say of a fictional character but I am really proud of how much she grew over the last three books, she went from being my least favorite character to being one of my favorites. It was a worthy addition to the series.
